Wow! My week of exercise and being a little better about my food choices paid off big time. Three pounds! A whole three pounds! I was so very shocked and excited when I hopped off the scale. Three pounds! I know, I know, I’m still very, very overweight. But I am excited because this time around, I worked to lose this weight. This wasn’t just some weird fluke occurrence, as so many of my losses in the past have been. This was the result of determination, of breaking with habits, of trying to set healthy new ones. This was hard work.
And it paid off.
