And so now we start another month. March should be a really good month. I am scheduled to work an amazing amount of overtime this month. I tend to do eat better on days that I work. If that makes any sense.
I really didn’t do all that much this week regarding weight management. I am trying to at least be more aware of what I eat. I have noticed that I tend to snack a lot throughout the day. I eat normal-sized lunches and dinners. I do have a tendancy to eat a very large breakfast. But the main thing I do is snack. A candy bar here, a cookie there… at the time, none of these things seems to be a really big deal.
However, when I stop to add these things up at the end of my day, it turns out that I have eaten quite a few of these. Add in a couple of sodas during the day, and you can easily see how I have managed to get to the weight that I am at, and to maintain this weight.
One thing that those of you who are in the same weight range as me may not realize is that it takes a whole lot of calories to keep our weight this high. If we can reduce the amount we eat by just a little bit, we’ll start to lose some of this weight. We don’t have to drop our food intake down to 1000 calories per day to lose weight. We can actually hit the 2000 calorie per day mark and still lose weight. The human body is not designed to have this much fat, and it will try to discard some of it, if only given the chance.
Of course, adding exercise to this helps get rid of the weight faster. That is something that I keep telling myself. I just need to exercise, and eat reasonably. That’s all there is to it. Eat less and exercise.
I hope you had a great week!
